Moving into my 6th decade, I look back on a career built not just on property and investments, but on trust, relationships, and doing the right thing. From founding estate agency chains in Bristol to helping investors through Property Connections and now Investor Connections, my focus has always been on delivering strong returns through carefully chosen opportunities. 

Today, I connect high-net-worth individuals with investments that I genuinely believe in—across property, green energy, tech, and more. If I wouldn’t invest in it myself, I won’t recommend it. And if it doesn’t do some good in the world, it’s not for us.

My career in property began in 1987, running estate agency businesses. While much has evolved in the industry since then, one thing has remained constant: my commitment to understanding people and helping them make confident, well-informed financial decisions.

At Investor Connections, I continue this mission by introducing investors to a carefully curated selection of property and alternative investment opportunities.

Over the years, I’ve built lasting relationships by staying true to a simple approach - listening, being transparent, and only recommending opportunities I would personally invest in. Whether it's a fixed-income investment backed by strong security or a joint venture with an experienced developer, my role is to ensure each opportunity aligns with the individual needs and goals of my clients.

I’m particularly drawn to projects that offer a broader positive impact, including innovative health and wellness ventures. I believe investments can deliver strong returns while also contributing to the planet and supporting humanitarian values - proving that financial success and social responsibility can go hand in hand.

With a distinguished career spanning over 40 years, James began his professional journey at Lloyd’s of London as an aviation broker, working with clients across the global airline industry. He later transitioned into the sports sector, where he has built a reputation as a leader in commercial rights—covering stadium naming rights, headline and lead partnerships, licensing, and sponsorship.

Over the past three decades, James has successfully operated across a wide spectrum of sports, including football, rugby, cricket, polo, and motorsport. His work has helped secure over £50 million in sponsorship revenue, demonstrating his deep commercial insight and extensive network. His expertise is now instrumental in developing the global reach and commercial capability of the group within the wider sports and entertainment landscape.

James is particularly committed to supporting professional athletes beyond the spotlight. By leveraging commercial opportunities and smart planning, he helps elite athletes transition into post-career life with confidence and purpose.

Born and raised in the bushveld of Central Africa, Johno brings a grounded, global perspective to everything he does. In the 1990s, he met and married Ellie, an English backpacker, and together they relocated to the UK in 2000 with their young family. Starting with few connections, Johno built a successful business consultancy from the ground up, helping owners gain clarity, shape strategy, and turn plans into action.

In 2016, he was headhunted by a regional accounting firm to lead their business development. Over six years, he played a central role in scaling the firm from £600k to over £8.5m in turnover, eventually stepping into the role of Group CEO.

Despite these achievements, Johno’s long standing relationship with Investor Connections founder Paul Kingston inspired a new chapter. Today, as Investor Support Manager, Johno combines his commercial insight with a people first approach, building trust, supporting investors, and fostering strong relationships at the heart of the Investor Connections community.
